The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Ps. 9:9, 10)
I will say to the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."...If you make the Most High your dwelling--even the Lord, who is my refuge--then no harm will befall you, for he will command his
angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Ps. 91:2, 9-11) God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. (Ps. 46:1) The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking;
he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. (Ps. 34:18 TLB) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be
afraid. (John 14:27) In me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33) Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you. (Job 22:21) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matt. 11:28-30) Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (Ps. 27:14) Be still before the
Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes...For evil men will but cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. (Ps. 37:7, 9)
Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. (Ps. 94:19 TLB) You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in
safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.(Job 11:18, 19)
