Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.  (Prov. 11:28)

Jesus said it again:  "Dear children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God."  (Mark 10:24 TLB)

Help me to prefer obedience to making money.  Turn me away from wanting any other plan than yours.  Revive my heart toward you.  (Ps. 119:36, 37 TLB)

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.  (Col. 3:2)

Don't weary yourself trying to get rich.  Why waste your time?  For riches can disappear as though they had the wings of a bird!  (Prov. 23:4, 5 TLB)

Those who turn from God may be successful for the moment, but then comes sudden disaster.  (Job 5:3 TLB)

Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income.  This is to meaningless.  (Eccl. 5:10)  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?...(Matt. 16:26 KJV)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  (Heb. 13:5)

But godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. (1 Tim. 6:6, 7)

You say, "I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing."  But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.  (Rev. 3:17)

But man, despite his riches, does not endure; he is like the beasts that perish.  This is the fate of those who trust in themselves...Though while he lived he counted himself blessed--and men praise you when you prosper--he will join the generation of his fathers, who will never see the light of life. (Ps. 49:12, 13, 18, 19)

No servant can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and Money.  (Luke 16:13)

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness...Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.  Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.  In this way they will lay up treasures for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age; so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. (1 Tim. 6:10, 11, 17-19)

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven...For where your treasures is, there your heart will be also.  (Matt. 6:19-21)
